Tan Beng Kiang
Professor
National University of Singapore

Dr. Tan Beng Kiang is an educator and registered architect, advocating for participatory community design. She has led service-learning projects in Singapore and ASEAN, showcased at Archifest and the Design for the Common Good International Exhibition. Her teaching and research focus on Participatory Community Design and Planning, Aging, and Housing. A recipient of multiple teaching and design awards, including the Pacific Rim Award for Excellence in Public Interest Design (2018) for the Smile Village project, she served as a council member of the Singapore Institute of Architects and currently sits on various national committees.

Chong Keng Hua

Provost & Vice President (Academic)

Chong Keng Hua is Provost and Vice President (Academic) of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) at the University of the Arts Singapore (UAS). He is formerly Associate Professor of Architecture and Sustainable Design at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where he directed the Social Urban Lab (SOULab) and the Positive City Lab and led the MND-HDB New Urban Kampung Research Programme. He is also a Founding Partner of COLOURS: Collectively Ours, an award-winning design practice specialising in public space and social impact.

Shaun Teo
Assistant Professor
National University of Singapore

Shaun is Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore. He is an urban geographer interested in urban governance and politics from a comparative perspective. He is currently studying youth aspirations and urban futures in Taipei and Singapore.
